Elwood Pier - April 2009

Emily had great taste. She designed her ceremony from the very beginning and was an absolute delight to work with.

Excerpt from the bride:

"The day prior to our wedding on Saturday 04 April 2009 was torrential downpours, and the strongest winds I has seen. I must have received 20 phone calls from our suppliers, friends and family asking if I wanted to move the wedding to our “wet weather contingency plan”. Rob and I had dreamed of being married on the pier at Elwood foreshore, as Rob had romantically proposed 18 months earlier on a pier in Queenscliff. From the day we decided on the location, we knew there would be risks with weather, but we both had to have faith that our wedding day would be perfect."

"Thank goodness for the flexibility of the Wedding Zone and our other suppliers, that we were able to make the call on the day of the wedding to continue with our original plan. At midday, the weather was starting to clear up a little, but as I arrived at 4 o’clock, the clouds started to part and during our vows the sun shone down on us to produce the most perfect day. I like to think it all had to do with faith, we never stopped believing it would be perfect and it was."
